CircUse Presents at COBRAMAN Final Conference

CircUse partners were present at the Final Conference for COBRAMAN which took place in Bydgoszcz, Poland from the 16th – 17th of April, 2012. It was here that the presentation “Circular Flow Land Use Management – Climate Beneficial Land Use Structures” was given by Anna Starzewska-Skiorska from the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas (Poland). The presentation focused upon the concept of CircUse, the pilot training course for experts, the action plans, and other project results.

CircUse Pilot Applications Workshop in Italy on the 20 – 22nd of June, 2012

The City of Asti and SiTI (Istituto Superiore sui Sistemi Territoriali per l’Innovazione) will hold a CircUse project meeting which is to take place in the cities of Asti and Torino in Italy. The goal of the meeting is to discuss the progress of all the work packages and recently finished products as well as hold workshops and site visits of brownfields in Asti.

Issues to be discussed include the preparation of the CircUse compendium, experience with the new data management tool and pilot applications. The meeting will bring together all of the CircUse partners under the same roof to make the project more effective by stimulating cross dialog and cooperation of all the partners.

CircUse’s “Take a Closer look at Central Europe” Photo Entries

CircUse’s submissions for the Central Europe photo contest titled “Take a Closer Look at Central Europe” have been chosen by the CircUse partners. Through internal voting, it was agreed upon that the three submissions “Old Sugar Factory in Trnava” (By: Ms. Birli), “Chemopharma” (By: Ms.Firmlova) and “Brownfield in Leipzig” (By: Mr. Verbücheln) best represent the CircUse project.

The entries are now uploaded to Central Europe’s Facebook website and can be voted upon by all Facebook users.

Warsztaty RECYKLING PRZESTRZENI 30 maja 2012 r.

Projekt CircUse, Instytut Ekologii Terenów Uprzemysłowionych oraz Fundacja Zielonej Ligi serdecznie zapraszają do udziału w bezpłatnych warsztatach dla nauczycieli szkół gimnazjalnych i średnich „Recykling przestrzeni”.

Warsztaty odbędą się 30 maja 2012 r., w godz. 11:00 - 14.00 w Katowicach w Instytucie Ekologii Terenów Uprzemysłowionych przy ul. Kossutha 6
